Your teen wolf drawings were just on my dash and firstly- WOW you are so amazing at drawing!! I was wondering if you had any digital painting tips (I want to try it soon, I've been digitally drawing like juliajm15 but yet to try painting...) and what program you use? Thank you!!

Honestly, PRACTICE!!! Practice using reference at drawing and painting! I use photoshop, you can probably get a free trial and test it out. Ive been practicing using reference and making portraits for YEARS and honestly just do it for fun and not in the mindset of getting better. Thank you so much! :D

So I never finished this drawing of Benadryl Cabbagepatch from a while ago but I’m still somewhat proud of it (also, ignore the terrible lighting I’m sorry)

oh gosh sweetheart thank you! ;;

um i don’t know about tips, but i suppose the things i try and remember are:

art turns out not good? doesn’t matter, as long as you can work out why it’s not good

other people don’t like what you do? doesn’t matter, do what makes you happy

don’t be afraid to use references (as long as they are either your own or properly credited!)

painttool SAI is amaze and pretty much changed my life

people often say to have lots of lots of layers and that’s fine but if that doesn’t work for you then it doesn’t matter (most of my drawings have a sketch layer, base colour layer underneath, then a top layer for the actual painting and then merge them all together once i’m happy that it’s going in the right direction)

yes anatomy is boring to learn, get around this by staring at hot actors/actresses and drawing them all the time and watching people like a total creeper
