Went to planet anime in KC yesterday specifically to meet edgeworth’s va, my sister and I went as edgeworth (ofc) and Maya and we were surprisingly recognized quite a few times! It was so fun and thank you to all the lovely people who said hi to us💖 Phoenix cosplay was wesley_12_4 and Layton was theorangegirl8 (both on insta)

Being approached at the con and asked to do a 10-pulls in the Dante fit may be one of the hardest moments I’ve had in my life (it’s not a high bar). I’m sorry two fold, I’m so sorry guy who conceived of money in terms of pulls, I razzed you too hard for a stranger, and I’m sorry the roll sucked.

When we went to the MHA panel the guy who was hosting it asked who I was cosplaying when I went to ask a question and I didn't get to tell him this but it meant a lot that he asked me even if it was a small question cause I was really happy with this cosplay since it was the first homemade one I ever did (my mom made it so thank you mama)

Oh hey i finished my Oliver cosplay

pretend that it hasn't been months since i posted about my cosplays. this project killed me in so many ways.

'Ancient Costume' is a broad categorization of Chinese dramas that encompass everything from political intrigue palace dramas to epic world-bending fantasy to martial arts extravaganzas. Shows like The Untamed, Nirvana in Fire, and Love Between Fairy and Devil have made some waves in the West, but overall these dramas remain extremely underappreciated and underseen. We'd love to help change that. Whether you are a fan of ancient costume dramas already or are looking for an introduction to them, this panel is for you. We will be discussing the terminology, history, and inspirations behind modern costume dramas, where to watch them, and, of course, recommending some of our favorites. We'll also delve a little bit into their influence on anime, as well as anime's influence on them. If you love beautiful men with long flowing locks, powerful and complex women, epic revenge plots, love stories that defy fate, lush costumes and sets, and a whole lot of cool fight scenes, you'll love Chinese ancient costume dramas, so come check out our panel!

Please check out our costume drama panel at Planet Anime Kansas City two weeks from now! If you happen to be in the area, we'd love to see you there. We'll be dressed as Ling Miaomiao and Mu Sheng, so you can't miss us. We'll also be passing out some small cards promoting @cdramazine.

Although we're very experienced in running fan panels, we are not presenting ourselves as absolute experts on this subject. Still, we thought it would be fun to do a basic introduction to Chinese costume dramas because we want to spread the love, and we're confident we can do that. And of course, if you're already a fan, we really want to see you there.
