#plastic model building

I created a new diorama. Kind of a spur of the moment and no planning sort of build. Just going off of an idea in my head and making it up as I go along. A nice change of pace compared to the detailed and scripted painting of figures.

The car was existing, but I always wanted it in a diorama kind of like this. But hopefully it will also serve well to show case other car builds in the future.

Some pictures of it without any cars on it.

It was a lot of fun just to paint the rocks and ground work with an airbrush and not be super careful. It definitely needed the grass and moss for what I wanted, but static grass is a pain. It gets everywhere! I’m probably going to be picking it out of my palette for the next month.

So I kinda made a mistake and bought a plastic model kit of metalgarurumon

I've never done gunpla before soooo yeah

Already finished the head though

So wish me luck on the rest of it

I have been working on some of my models recently. I’ve been chipping away at an M1A2 abrams.

And I really like how it has gone. Not quite done yet, still want to do weather on top surfaces and add tarps, but is looking great.

It’s also fun to compare this to an abrams I did almost ten years ago. One of my very first complicated models.

And I have definitely improved a lot since then. The tan abrams is falling apart whenever I touch it and the paint job is awful. But have to start somewhere.

And a final one on a diorama I made awhile ago. Barely able to fit the abrams, but still looks cool.
