One of my friends on Twitter gave me a few prompts for the platonic starters over there cause they weren’t logged into Tamblr <3
TIME FOR SOME HORSE FAMBLY SHENANIGANS
Context is that I used to RP a Horuss and them a Darkleer in a Midnight City AU setting and they had some BIG AWKWARD FAMBLY TIMES AND I LOVED IT.
Also any and every excuse to rp Horuss is being taken eager cause I both love and miss him.

There is a moment, well several moments but listing them all would take entirely too much time so Horuss was going to combine them into one singular moment, when Horuss notices that Darkleer had yet to leave the his workshop for the day. Day as in daytime, or as close as Midnight City was stable to achieve given the very obvious conclusion of how exactly the City had earned its name, an issue as both Darkleer and Horuss himself were more prone to nocturnal habits.
When they were not sharing the tendency to become focused on their own individual projects and continue to work long past when they should hoof retired for the morning that was.
Really the places were they were so similar were… discontenting to Horuss to hay the least. To think that he had tried so hard to be someone other than the troll that would fill the space his ancestor had left only to find himself falling into similar patterns and routines was…
No matter. It was not something that required his attention at the current point in time.
He could debate the notion of individualism and falling into expected patterns and what that meant for him as his own troll at a later time. Now he had to decide how he was going to handle the observation he had made.
The easiest and most obvious decision would be to leave Darkleer to his own devices and decisions. His ancestor was much older than Horuss was and fully capable to make his own mistakes and decisions regarding his own state of self-care in comparison to what he was working on. And Horuss sincerely doubted that one instance of working through the night into the day would affect Darkleer too negatively, though that was only speaking from his own prior experience in similar circumstances and the less he focused on that the better.
Really, the best option would be to just ignore Darkleer and continue on with his own journey around the building, get the coffee he’d initially left his desk for and return to his own work.
That did not stop Horuss from lingering at the machine, his own mug prepared to his liking but left sitting on the table as he debated the merits of making up another cup for Darkleer.
There was little reason to, if Darkleer had wanted one he would hoof come out and gotten his own however he wanted it. And that was before taking into account the fact that Horuss was unfamiliar with how the older Indigo even preferred the drink, did he like his like Horuss did? A carefully calculated splash of milk and the smallest amount of sugar? Or did he prefer it without anything added?
So many options and Horuss had no idea which to start with. The decisions and the consequences of choosing the wrong one stalling him in place. Why could there not be rule and regulations regarding interactions like this? Having something to fall back on would have made this all the easier to handle. But lacking such it was up to Horuss to decide the best way to go about this.
He could always take milk and—no that would be far too much to carry at once and hay imply that Horuss expected Darkleer to use them which may hoof forced the older Indigos hands. Fiddlesticks.
After hoofing debated another half minute to himself Horuss huffed a frustrated breath, deciding he had better things to do with his time then worry about something as silly as this and preparing Darkleer’s mug similar to his own before he could second guess himself again.
From there it was a quick trip back to Darkleer’s workshop where he dithered for a pumper beat before knocking at the door and entering.
Darkleer showed no sign of hoofing heard him at the door and was focused intently on whatever he was working on, Horuss couldn’t see yet from his position but he was sure it was something leaning more to necessary for someone else or the precinct perhaps instead of for himself, as was the usual for Horuss himself mare often than not.
“Good Hay,” Horuss said, approaching Darkleer and noticing the way the older Indigo stiffened all over at the sound of his voice, head turning with a careful, contained slowness. “I was getting myself some coffee and thought that you could use a mug yourself.” He paused a moment, gaze skittering away from the dark lenses hiding Darkleer’s own. “Though I… admit that I was unamare of how you enjoy it. If it is... not to your preference then I can go and make another for you?”
There’s a long, drawn out quiet between them both, Horuss standing with both mugs in his hands while Darkleer sat, staring at him and little else.
Horuss felt tension rise in his chest, his throat scratching and sweat starting to prick at his hairline as he waited for the other Indigo to do something, anything.
“... thank you…” Horuss’ chest unclenches at the words, relieved in a hay that rankled at his nerves in the hay it always did when he recognised himself reacting as he had back on Alternia, putting his own worth into pleasing those superior to he himself. “I don’t… really hoof a preference… thank you for… thinking about me… you didn’t need to.”
“It was neighthing, please enjoy.” Horuss places the mug next to Darkleer’s elbow, content to avoid attempting to hand it to him directly. “I will leave you to whatever you are working on.” Task delivered it was time to return to his own work.
“Would you…” Horuss froze, almost out of the door, as Darkleer spoke again, stiff and forcing the words out. “Like to see…? If you are neigh too busy of course… I understeed if you are… in fact please ignore…”
“If you do neigh mind I would be honoured to.” As much as he had other things to focus on the chance to see what Darkleer was working on was neigh something he wished to pass on.
Darkleer says little else but shifts over a bit so that Horuss could join him at the work table and see exactly what was being worked on and listen to Darkleer tell him about what the individual pieces would become.
“How about ‘pretty please with this-time-I-won’t-abandon-you-to-go-make-out-with-a-stranger-while-your-awkward-asexual-ass-hangs-out-all-alone-in-front-of-the-TV on top?”
“Oh! Well, sort of!” Fluttershy answered, wriggling out from under the den of blankets she had constructed. “I-I thought since you didn’t have anywhere to stay, y-you could just stay at my cottage - if you want to, that is. S-so I just set up a private area for you - Th-there’s a bed and everything! B-but I understand if you want to stay somewhere else…”.

Platonic Starters
It was a complete coincidence that, at the very moment the words left his mouth, Ana had lifted her arm and lobbed the stone, full pelt, as far as she could into the water. Being an archer, she had the arm strength to send it out quite a distance, but it was an inelegant gesture that did little to substantiate the coming rejection.
"I'm fine, Anders. Really." Her hand returned to her side, fingers quickly wrapped in a clenched fist. Hawke's frustration was evident, clearly, but she seemed oblivious to just how apparent it was.
This is short but sweet! There's been a bit of speculation about the God Tree, time, and space with the latest Hanyo no Yashahime trailer. That was inspiration too. Finally. I imagine Kagome is like maybe 7-8 months pregnant? Enough that maybe Inuyasha (by way of scent and fanfiction magic) can tell the baby is a girl.
Enjoy!

“If you live to be a hundred, I want to live a hundred minus one day so I would never have to live a day without l you.”
He stared at her, mouth agape. Her form was calm, tranquil, and an overwhelming sense of peace washed over him.
He swallowed thickly before frowning, his eyebrows pinching inward as he shook his head.
"I could never--"
"Inuyasha?"
Her back was already pressed against his chest as her Cheeryblossom scent engulfed him in waves. He wrapped his arms around her, just above her blossoming belly, and he buried his nose in the junction of her neck and shoulder. The hanyou took a deep breathe, embracing all that was her.
...his Kagome.
"I could never...leave you alone....not even for one day. I...I would transcend time and space...to be with you, always. To be there for you. To protect you and our little one," at that, his calloused hands came up to warmly and gently caress the swell of her tummy.
Kagome couldn't stop the tears from tickling her eyes and streaming down her face. She brought one hand up to gently cover one of his atop her stomach. Her other hand reached up to caress his cheek, urging him to bless her lips with a kiss. He did so, deeply, and she sighed in completeness against his being.
Whatever happened, she knew Inuyasha would do everything in his power to keep them safe. Her, and their soon to be born baby girl...
