Mistoffelees has the only brain cell in this throuple.
Orville Alvarado as Mistoffelees, Gerry Pérez as Plato, and Claudio González as Pouncival, Mexico 2013 (X).
Plato: Every time I think, I take ten damage.
Pouncival: And every time we kiss, I swear I could fly!
Pouncival, over text: What’s sexting?
Plato: I'm not having this conversation with you.
Skimble's fond of the boys and they of him, but he can't quite see eye to eye with them when they're fanboying over a Certain Cat. 🤨
(Plato just wants him to have fun, ok?)
At least Tumblebrutus is willing to come and sit with him for a bit. (And tease him.)
Jack Duff as Skimbleshanks, Lewis Rimmer as Plato, Cory Betts as Pouncival, and Bennett Ryan as Tumblebrutus; Oasis cast 13, May 2023 (X).
Nathan Luke covering Carbuckety and George Maniadis in his last Admetus cover!
Vienna revival 23/6/22, filmed by @cryptidvoidwritings and @falasta. Giffed with permission.
This is an appreciation post for Mukeni Nel and Bradley Delarosbel's Carbuckety and Admetus, in the TV footage of rehearsals for the 2022 Taiwan tour.
look at their perfect faces and body language I love them already.
no no wait it gets better...
... and can you as CATS do begin with a C...?
Tiny spitfire Carbuckety! The way Admetus lashes out on 'and can you' (choreographed) but also twitches their spine up into a hiss on the word 'cats' (not choreographed!), before pulling back for 'begin with a C'...
(and also, can I just say? rights for having a he/they Admetus and Macavity?! the physically powerful and intimidating villain, and the softly strong love interest in the most canonical pairing of the show? two parts, such perfect counterpoises to each other and each contradicting the other's possible stereotype? we love to see it.)
Anyway, they pounce!
And let us all remember Jacob Brent's commentary on the 1998 film:
“Gillian Lynne used to say ‘speak with your bum there!’ So you’d have to go around and speak with your bum…”
2022 Asia tour, studio rehearsals, from TV spots released 3–8 February (but presumably filmed all on one day, on or before the 3rd).
