I’m kind of curious, what music making software/ideas are you trying out ? I’ve been trying to figure out music for a bit myself now and just curious where you’re coming at it from also as a beginner ? :3
oh i've mostly been messing around with trackers!
i'd been wanting to figure out how to use them for years because they looked cool, but never really got around to it ever?
anyway then i decided to remake a song i like in famitracker, and something about it just *clicked* while i was doing that
if you wanna get into tracker music famitracker is actually fairly beginner friendly! the limitations of the NES audio chips mean there's less to think about on your end. you've got 5 channels (or more if you wanna mess with the various expansion chips) each with a dedicated purpose, so you don't have to hunt down samples that sound good or mess with instrument creation too much before getting something down. It's a good place to start and once you've learned how to use one tracker you've basically learned how to use them all :>
OC i made for my gf @platyhelminthez ✨
She's a doglike ethereal entity that "lives" in a shopping mall and watches over Tiff's gang of bitches (besties) 🐶🧡 She might look a bit intimidating, but she's a total sweetie (if she likes you) RB's are very much appreciated!
two pics my gf @platyhelminthez drew of my sona last night bc i was yapping while stoned
