^^^ That may be true early on in both narratives. But the House Stark and House Atreides did eventually catch on; by the end it’s a rather different outcome than one might have expected.
One lesson we should all learn is that we can not always expect our opponents to stick by established or implied rules; just look at the state of politics over the past five years.
Playing fair is nice when both sides can be depended on to do so. But we should keep a surprise or two in reserve — just in case.
Today’s Tarot of Bones daily draw is the Five of Wands. It's fine to be competitive; just make sure you aren't playing dirty. There are ways to succeed that don't involve stomping all over other people. This is especially in the case of a competition that's supposed to be fun for everyone involved, regardless of who wins. If you find yourself getting too heavily invested in the fight to the point where you're considering things like sabotage, it's time to back off.
You can order the Tarot of Bones deck and book, or purchase a Tarot of Bones reading, at http://thetarotofbones.com/shop/ – and yes, even if you don’t have a Paypal account you CAN use the Paypal option to pay with a debit or credit card!
Playing fair.
River: How come we're out here and not sitting in the box?

Hey there! Friendly reminder that
When playing a board game/card game with multiple other people, you should always go after the person who is currently in the lead. This is both the most fair strategy, and the strategy that immediately benefits you the most. If someone is in the lead but doesn't think that they are, then calmly explain to them in quantifiable terms *how* they are in the lead, and then remind them that you are just going after the person in the lead.
It is not okay to intentionally go after someone who is both not in the lead and does not think they are a threat. This is aggressive behavior and only puts you further behind in the short and long term. If someone wants you to go after them, then feel free to go after them as it may help you both out.
It is harassment to target one player repeatedly if that player is not in the lead. It is bullying to repeatedly go after someone who is not the objective threat. If there's no numbers to support your attack, then you're just being a(n) jerk/bully/asshole/mean spirit and you should find something else to do.
