No Kings
“Go to a No Kings rally. What do you see? You see moms and grandmas and kids and dogs and funny signs and dancing and happy displays of opposition to the regime that are foundationally nonviolent. And on the other end, you’ve got a regime that’s led by a guy who cheered the January 6th insurrection.”
– Ezra Levin, co–executive director of Indivisible
Levin noted that authoritarian regimes fear mass organizing and peaceful protest because they reveal a regime’s unpopularity and show that it is losing its grip on power. (x)
Have you found a rally taking place near you? Have you made plans to get there? Is your sign ready?

I'm playing at Wurst on May 14th. It's a Thursday and the show is free. Windigo are playing and they are really cool.
Seriously, I've been waiting for SBS drama awards since July because of It's Okay It's Love but now ugh. :((
Please attend, Hyo Jin eonni and In Sung oppa.
I'm playing at Dickens Pub this Saturday night for a fundraiser supporting the Calgary Distress Centre. I'm stoked to be a part of the show because mental illness and addiction services have made a huge impact on my life and being able to play my music and help out a cause that I'm passionate about is a great opportunity. Most of my songs, directly or indirectly, deal with mental illness, so I am excited to perform at an event where I can explain the songs a little better. The Facebook event is here and you can buy tickets ahead of time here or at the door.
I'm currently desperately praying for shinee to attend MAMA 2013
Tomorrow night (October 12), I'll be playing from 8-10 pm at the Oolong Tea House. I have a cold, but I'm trying to get rid of it, so hopefully my voice will be decent by then.
On November 3, I have a show at The Blind Beggar. It's part of a singer-songwriter competition. The tickets are free, but part of the score is based on how many people you can get though the doors with your tickets. So, if you want to come, get a ticket from me. The doors open at 6:30 pm and I'll be playing a 30 minute set at 7:30 pm.
I'm playing at That Acoustic Show at Vern's on November 10. I think there are around 10 acoustic acts that will play. I don't have the details on set times yet, but the doors open at 5 pm. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door.
