This comic reflects a lot of my personal experiences when it comes to abusive situations -- especially relationships. You may interract with this post in any way you'd like, but I ask that you maintain respect (don't romanticize anything). But also please don't turn this into a pity party, because I'm fine lol.

That was years ago. He was free from that exploitation, that abuse. He hadn't made contact with their abusers in years. They have a stable job - things should be better! They should've healed by now!

Yet, the scars remain, and the effects are haunting.
