The Yellow Slugfolk gets up angrily. Yellow Slugfolk: Don't worry, friend… I'll stop her swings. He picks up a rock and a slingshot made from a branch, turning to see Brudil has stopped the carnivorous plant's mouth with her shield, preparing to clobber it as Pleht looks on nervously. He pulls the band back (with "creaaaak" SFX), firing and knocking Brudil's club out of her hand (with "POW!" SFX). Brudil: ACK! A beat, as Brudil looks at her hand in shock. Brudil: Hey, Pleht, could you-- Pleht: On it! He has already turned around to frantically fetch it.

Vines from the carnivorous plant slowly approach Pleht, who backs away as Marvo disappears into his coat. Pleht: U-um… The dread continues as the hungry plant approaches, until Brudil jumps in, bashing the plant aside (with "BAM!" SFX). Brudil: HEY! None of that! You don't mess with my friends, you got that? She glares at her foes as Pleht looks at her in awe. Pleht: Th-thank you…

Brudil steps into the next room, blocking Pleht from entering as she holds her shield above her. Pleht sadly pokes through the gash the knife left in his hat. They enter the room, looking around. Pleht picks up a discarded book, but as soon as he does, the pages crumble to dust Brudil: So… what brings you to a place like this? Pleht: W-well… Flash back to Pleht dropping an odd clay pot, panicking as it shatters. Pleht: I was cleaning for Mr. Sardon… When I… found one of his treasures broken. Pleht picks up two pieces, fitting them together to reveal the name of Corpus carved in them. Pleht: With a bit of research, I found where it came from, at least… Brudil and Pleht make it to a stairway. Pleht: A-anyway, how about yourself. Brudil: Oh, you know… just proving myself. Flashback to Brudil, clearly drunk alongside the human guard Linda. Linda: Okayokayokay…. if you can get shomethin' from that creepy tower, I'll buy ya cushtom armor, how'bout that? Brudil: Hic Oh, yer on!

Brudil's body shoves the two Slugfolk aside with a sweep of her arm. Pleht: Where'd I put that lid…? Ah! Brudil: WOULD YOU (Ow!) GIVE IT UP ALREADY?! MY NEPHEW CAN HIT HARDER THAN THAT! Brudil looks up. Brudil: Wait, wha- Pleht puts the lid back on the platter (with "CLINK!" SFX) Brudil: MMPH!

The next three show a swinging axe (with accompanying "WHOOSH!" sfx), several wooden stakes embedded in a wall, one of which has pinned a skull, and purple gas coming out of a vent (with accompanying hiss.." SFX) The final panel reveals that Pleht is oblivious to all three, and is in fact too short to have been harmed as he walks through. Pleht (thinking): If I find a trap, my life could be cut short!

The Pink Slugfolk nudges the Red Slugfolk. Pink Slugfolk: Wait, look… The Pink Slugfolk points to Pleht, who swallows nervously (with "GULP" SFX). Pink Slugfolk: Take care of the wizard and that head! I'll get that bucket off! Pleht: Hold on, adventurer… Brudil: HRM? MRRPG GRRMGH HRN?! Pleht makes a mad dash. He dodges the Red Slugfolk's tackle on his way and makes it over to Brudil's body, where the Pink Slugfolk is trying to remove the bucket.
