==>Dave: Fondly Regard Revelation
Your name is Dave Strider, and you're supposed to be dead.
But let's back up a little bit first.
Over the last two weeks, you've been looking, searching exhaustively for any trace of your brother. Even the slightest sign of where he might be, or whether he might be alive or dead. Nothing. There hasn't been a single record of him since six years ago. Six years ago, in April, in fact. John's birthday.
You dismissed it as coincidence for as long as you could, but knowing so many alternate versions of yourself who played that game, on that day, the exact time all records of your brother just cease? Too much to be a coincidence. And too much for anything good to come from digging deeper.
But you keep digging anyways. You have to know what happened to your brother. You have to know if he's alive, and if not, who or what killed him. So you keep looking. The history of what happened to your alternates is easy to gather discreetly, between past conversations, implications, and a bit of reading between the lines, you finally begin to get a picture.
You played that game, and got far. You had time powers, like the other Daves do, and you were almost, though not quite, a hero. It's not hard from there to discover what happened to your brother, but by the point that you finally realize the truth, there's more than just your brother's fate.
You failed. Somehow or another, you and your friends did something wrong, something terribly, unbelievably wrong, and you failed, beyond even your powers to fix. Instinctively, in the pit of your gut, you know what happened to your friends, what happened to everyone else in a doomed timeline. There's only one conclusion, the one you already reached.
Your name is Dave Strider, and you're supposed to be dead.
