Considering he still had no use for the thing, and he did give it to you, it’s not precisely ‘stealing’, per se. But, you know; celebrate your victories no matter how small, etc etc.

Pale King, What would you rather have: A cannon that shoots one sawblade every minute but can propel it across kilometres/miles and annihilate walls (a railgun)? Or a cannon that can shoot hundreds of sawblades every minute across a "shorter" distance? Doesn't matter why, even if it's bragging rights

“I don’t have much of a use for either at present, so neither. I am much happier with the few rooms dedicated to clutter being filled with clutter for the construction of the Kings- and Wingmoulds.”

He pauses for a moment.

“Though perhaps fitting one of them with such a weapon would be an interesting challenge...”

Ok but real talk, a shot hammer is really damn cool.

“Not to give away such a. Hmm. Delightful. Gift,” he glances to the hammer; “but I very likely will not be using it. If you can make better use of such a thing, you are welcome to it.”
