Plot Thought

//For time-traveller or immortal muses who don’t yet know that the other is also one of those things;

Visiting a place that has a museum of ancient armour and weapons. Something bad starts happening, they both run into the museum and grab weapons and there’s the ‘wait, what the fuck?’ moment.

Or they do know about each other, and it’s a ‘team’ moment.

Ponder Stibbons. Ponder might be assigned some tasks of the non-magical 'just make it happen' variety; including getting messages or items to and from the University as reliably and discreetly as possible. Which leads to him hiring Thera in her role as 'Spurious Couriers'.

Add in the possibilities of Wizards freaking out about a woman on campus, herself and Ponder falling into trouble with some sort of magic-item black market, or Thera (Ramtops-born and having dabbled in 'witchcraft' at college) being mildly affected by proximity to magic, even if it's the 'Wizard' kind.

(Potentially they could find out that she's some sort of 'barometer' for sensing magic or magical objects - symptoms being as awkward or embarrassing as we want XD!)

Polly Perks and Maladict. I'm taking the current thread with Polly as being in Borogravia, maybe somewhere Thera's family stopped for a while before pushing on for Ankh-Morpork. What if they meet up again in Ankh-Morpork (after some more adventures that we can write or just say happened!). Both Polly and Mal discovering that the things that made them 'GASP unusual' at home is just 'eh whatever' in the bigger city.

Or alternatively, given that Thera's dad is a known embezzler, what if he's up to his usual tricks working in the finances of the Borogravian army?

Lizzy Bennett. I don't have anything solid for Lizzy, but Mainverse!Thera can very easily be around in the Regency era if we wanted to throw them together?

Our muses have each rented a place to stay, but through a mix-up they find they’re both booked into the same place at the same time.

(Thera owns a bunch of vacation rental properties so it could even be one of hers, for an extra twist.)

The book that Thera and Daniel may be about to start fighting over holds a clue to a larger discovery - something related to the Goa'uld (or the Tok'ra). Maybe a map, maybe a coded set of directions ... ?

Maybe combined with - I have a headcanon that Thera was actually at the Library of Alexandria when it went up, and helped save some of the contents. I'm thinking it would be crazy distracting for Daniel to have a lead on where some of those writings ended up!

Another round of 'somebody opened a tomb they shouldn't', when someone is filmed running around shouting in a language so old one certain people are going to recognise it. They have to find this person and get them under control before the Goa'uld (or, again, Tok'ra - might be more interesting if it was a Tok'ra) in their head jumps to another host and disappears.

Following on from the drabble I wrote where the CT scanning of a mummy finds a symbiote hidden inside (or this one's a Jaffa and the symbiote is in the abdomen). Either way, maybe Thera makes off with some of the evidence, annoying the SGC folks?

Plot idea for Night at the Museum, for Hallowe'en.

For the spooky season the museum just happens to have a special exhibition with classic monsters from folklore and pop culture; vampires, werewolves, Frankenstein's monster, generic scary, dangerous critters from over the centuries.

Then ... night falls. Tablet activates. All the exhibits come to life ...

OK, so, Star Trek Khan, right? We’ve got our usual Trek verse where Thera’s been assigned to keep an eye on him during his probation (I’ve got a few thoughts on the details of that, too, but separate from this meme).

We were saying that she was assigned because she’s the only person who remotely gets along with him (and doesn't have a specific personal grudge to get in the way). What if that evolves into Khan thinking of her as ‘only person who is nice to me/potential friend’ ... only for her to get badly injured somehow.

Maybe, just maybe, he might be motivated to donate some of his blood to heal her, the way it brought Kirk back to life. However, since that was a nifty plot device that canon didn’t look at too closely, maybe unforeseen complications ensue ... ?

Hmm ... we’ve talked about the idea of Thera going with Ray back to Australia. Maybe with her being appallingly Tourist with a capital T, right down to a fake American accent and a Hawaiian shirt?

Or perhaps his family deciding she’s Missus Material - which Ray might spot in advance thanks to their auras, and be doing his best to head that shit off at the pass?
