Gameplay and story segregation, Octopath Traveler's old friend... There were a few points in the game where it got especially egregious, but I had gotten used to it from the first game by that point.

ok ok i know there's only a few hours left and crick is going to win bc he is (very understandably i adore him too) everyone's fave but. i have to show some appreciation for my girl plukk

(spoilers for melia's post game sidequest)

she became a thief as a way to take back agency over her life after escaping from the brothel she was sold to. during her time there she lost her eye for lying to save her closest companion. after her escape, she saved mikk and makk's lives and they stay with her out of gratitude. all three of them really care about each other it's really sweet

also! she always dreamed of being a florist because as a kid she used to water the wildflowers on the side of the road, and seeing the flowers' stubbornness to survive inspired her to keep going

..also she's a hot woman who dual wields daggers and she kicked my ass the first time i fought her bc i was so distracted by how hot she was dgksjfstkstjsrjjgdkdutidtoyf

anyway plukk my beloved deserves more recognition thank you for coming to my ted talk
