Pegasi and the Royal Family were intertwined in Hoshidan myth, so much so that it is said that these beasts only serve those worthy of protecting the nobility or the most noble souls of them all. Even further in myth, it is said every thousand years a daughter of the Royal line is born as a fusion of a beautiful maiden, and these majestic creatures. But the late King and Queen had two daughters of such a blessed description, and many believed this was a sign of prosperity and that the gods were indeed among the people of Hoshido. Many believed in fact... that a union of these two would bring forth even greater blessings... -- Sakura was resting with a truly delicious pile of offerings from the people, her humanoid belly hanging low with adipose as she continued to snack and glut herself on sweets like Mochi and candied fruits. She was a bit of a glutton, however it was enabled due to her circumstances. And how could you say no to her? But stomping, quaking footfalls got her heart racing... W-Was Hinoka trudging her way to see her? Sakura's wings fluttered a little in anticipation. Not that they could ever get her body off the ground...
