After striking a tentative deal with Rains Fall, Saren had immediately begun to make herself useful in the Wapiti camp. She helped tan and dress hides, helped gather food, and occasionally hunted.
For a moment, it had felt like stepping back into her old life; the life she had before her mother had died and her father was murdered. It felt like the life she should have had before circumstances out of her control forced her to age. And while her people rarely interacted with the Wapiti, Saren was eternally grateful for their kindness and hospitality.
Which was why Saren was currently occupying herself by crafting a beaded belt for Rains Fall, as a way to show her appreciation. She’d probably throw in a deerskin robe, too, for added measure.
