I'm currently reading through Call Me Cyli from start to finish in order to freshen up on the plot and everything written so far to continue writing the next chapter ('tis been a very long time since I last read this fic in full. Last update was in 2024.)

I'm constantly going through two singular emotions while reading my own writing.

This face, when reading chapter 1 and 8, and finding that the writing holds up surprisingly well.

And then just, the rest of the chapters, this face. Only this face.

Guys when were you going to warn me of all the typos 💀 and the redundancies 💀💀

I mean it's not bad or a severe amount, but dang with all the rigorous beta reading and spellchecks I used to do you'd think I'd have picked up on them XD

It's very eye-opening to look back on one's own writing from a few years ago. Looking at the fic with fresh eyes made me see where my strengths are and what parts I could still work on, like a few odd narrative inconsistencies that don't seem obvious at first until you look at it from a distance. Eh, it's doesn't warrant a rewrite at least.

You guys wanna hear my completely probably wrong crackpot Betrayus theory that spawned in my head a few weeks ago?

Basically he's the Pac-worlder equivalent of being albino but with them it basically turns everything but your eyes monochrome. As most albino, the eyes are still red. It's a VERY rare genetic defect in which a pac-person is born without vibrant coloration. (That's why with the exception of characters in makeup, we don't see other white ones.)

But looking at how pac-worlder genetics works, it's likely that Trayus and Stratos's father was green, And most likely the same shade as his son. While Rounda is a peachy color, it's implied that Pac-worlders color fade with age, so she most likely was the same color as Spheria when younger. And you know what that color can be heavily related to? Yellow.

And what would be very likely to come out of a heavy yellow carrier and a lime green pac...? yellow.

Basically my theory is if Betrayus didn't have that VERY specific defect, he would have come out yellow. But he didn't, and thus didn't inherit all the powers. And being so important coloration wise, he would have probably been the favorite child, and his life would have been vastly different.

But that's why he's so powerful of a fire ghost compared to everyone else. Still part of him genetically is more powerful by default

Like I said- absolutely crackpot of a theory but I wanna know your opinions because this would be hella ironic if true
