A modern AU set in the Hamptons, where in the summer, all the wealthy people come to play. Elizabeth’s family runs a small cleaning service that thrives in the summer, but every winter they get closer to poverty. And so, Elizabeth’s mother sends their eldest on a quest to marry the richest person she can find, and Elizabeth, unfortunately, is dragged along for the ride. She’s known by all as a troublemaker, demanding her rights and defending herself and her family. Meanwhile, Willa Darcy is spending the summer at a friend’s instead of working in the city at the company like she has in past years. Their paths cross, and the rest, as they say, is history.
