I chose to write a 100 word drabble! :) Thank you for the prompt!

When Elliott is in the second grade, he falls madly in love with Matthew Chin at a piano recital. Matthew is two years older, wears a tie and shiny shoes, and plays the most beautiful waltz of his own composition, his fingers dancing over the keys as if it's easy.

Elliott tells his mom he'll be heartbroken if Matthew never loves him. She says he shouldn't place so much importance on the feelings of other people. She says admiring someone, liking how they look, and loving them are all different things. Then she hugs him.

He understands when he's older.

"What do you mean, you set our bed on fire?!"

"What do you mean, you set our bed on fire?!"

Kurt flinched at Blaine's frantic voice over the phone; "well you were saying you wanted to spice things up in the bedroom so I thought maybe wax play would be fun-"

"Spice things up Kurt...I meant figuratively not literal temperature-wise!"

"In my defense, your skin would look beautiful with colorful wax decorating it...Anyway, so I was practicing - with a tarp and everything - but I may have knocked over the candles in my erm- enthusiasm."

After a beat, Blaine burst out laughing; "I'll stop and pick up a new comforter then?"

"Yes, and new sheets too...please?"

I don’t know how tagging for that could be more efficient. I also wish the tumblr mobile apps would honour blacklists. :(

oh man, check out washboard, it's a lifesaver for mobile dash reading. but yeah, i don't even know what tag I could ask people to use, I just really want one.

maybe something like 'trigger warning: in their own words'? idk. ugh, i'd feel really dumb asking people to tag it.

I miss LJ-cuts so much sometimes, goddamn.

are people not tagging for suicide? because i would think that should be a thing? *hugs*

no, no! they are tagging for suicide, what they aren't doing is specifiying 'this is a person's suicide note' vs 'this is about someone's suicide' or even 'this is about suicide and suicide prevention in general', and similar non-specificity is also common in pretty much all trigger tags

I am pretty much always good with general type posts, and am most of the time okay reading posts about a specific incident, but I really really really dislike getting surprised by first person accounts of incidents or things like actualfax suicide notes. For some reason, those are always much sharper and more marrow-piercing, and I really could use the warning - not necessarily to not read the post, even, just to be prepared for it.
