Homecoming
Travis hadn’t been tis nervous in a while. He tried his best to focus on the road ahead, but it was so easy for his mind to wander. It had been so damn long. Long enough that Travis had wondered if he should give up hope. The gps jolted him out of his memory reminding him to take the exit so that he didn’t miss the airport. He hurried and pulled in before driving along the pickup lane and finding a spot near the doors. He parked and sighed running a hand through his hair before shooting out an i’m out front text.
He rubbed his hands on his pants and tried to breathe. He hadn’t seen Sol in months. They had been having a great time together, starting to truly build a relationship, but something was always in between them. And then Sol had one day declared that he had to get out. They would never be able to progress and Sol would never be able to be who he wanted to be until he got help. Travis could do little else besides help him pack and get him to the airport. As much as it killed him to not see or hear from Sol for months, he just wanted the man to be happy. And finally he had received word that Sol was coming home and he was hoping that Travis would be the one to pick him up. Now he swallowed hard as he waited for the other man to appear. He was excited, but worried. What if Sol had changed....or specifically, what if his feelings had changed and he only wanted to be Travis’s friend? He didn’t want to think about that even though he knew deep down that he would support Sol any way that he could. Slowly, he got out of the car and stood beside it as he waited for the other man. “Please...still want me.” He whispered quietly as he wrung out his hands.
