Coffee and Cigarettes I don't wanna live in a world where I don't feel. I want the subtlest nuances of this vast world to influence a plethora of tribulation and passion that echo through every fiber of my being. I want to be reminded of the nights I wanted someone so bad I could feel them there. I want to be reminded of every single thing, good or bad, that has made me who I am today. Laying here in this dorm, embraced by darkness, I want to be reminded of what it's like to feel. I want to remember longing. I want to think about late nights cuddled up on the couch and nights where our bodies embraced each other as one. Where passion roared like flames through our bodies, consuming us like a firework stand in the dead of summer. I want to feel the first time. When we both took it to the next level. Our bodies intertwined like the stitches in our clothes inhabiting the bedroom floor. I want to feel the heat of that fire, drenching me in sweat and euphoria. I want to feel lonely Sunday walks to the coffee shops. Solitary orders of a cappuccino. The feeling of looking down at my phone to one less text message than I'm used to. I want to feel myself be shed from you like the leaves I watch as I walk. Burnt out orange and brown and faded, falling to the ground. I want to feel the bittersweet feeling of a new start. I want to be swept through the cycle of life, love, heartache and fresh starts. I want to go back to square one with my hands and my pockets and a sad song playing on repeat on a lonely corner where we used to get coffee. But I want to feel you even when time has pervaded my bare skeleton. When you no longer love me, I want to feel. Because as long as I can feel the pit in my chest and the bite of the cool autumn wind, I will be alive.
