Good morning, fellow readers and writers!
Just found out this morning about the news of a new Pokémon anime series coming up and...well...
Let’s just say that was a huge shock to me. I mean, I know this was discussed quite a bit after it was revealed not long ago that Ash finally became the World Champion in the main anime, but now that it’s finally confirmed, there’s a lot I feel like I have to process.
I followed the original anime when I was much younger, and stopped closely watching it after the Sinnoh episodes - I enjoyed them, but I just kind-of drifted away at the time. I stepped away for a while and mainly just followed the franchise through the games (started with Diamond/Pearl). I also followed the franchise through their spin-off games and mobile games as well.
But knowing that the original/main anime is coming to an end is a bit of a tearjerker. Even though I didn’t watch much of the main series post-Sinnoh/Diamond and Pearl (though I probably will use some of the rest of this year and 2023 to catch up), I know that it touched a lot of people. Feeling optimistic about the new series, but I think the original/main series will stay in our hearts too. So - thanks to the Pokemon anime for all the memories.
Just think: there are people who think Jessie and James are straight
