What's your opinion on those subdermal everstone implants some people get for their pets? On one hand, I understand not wanting your yamper to unexpectedly evolve on you, but on the other it seems kind of cruel to stick a piece of rock under their skin, no matter how polished and sanitized it might be.
i've seen some posts about these, and i think they're interesting- but ultimately they're not a good idea. it's not because of them being implanted, though. there are plenty of subdermal devices we use in pokemon care! microchips are inserted under the skin, as are certain types of contraceptive devices.
the problem with everstone implants is twofold. the first is that everstones can and do break, and i'd be concerned about pieces breaking off and migrating in the pokemon's body. the second is that they just aren't big enough! you need a certain amount of everstone to prevent a pokemon from evolving, and for anything bigger than like...a rattata, these little implant rods aren't going to do you any good. in fact, rattata are the whole reason they exist in the first place! everstone implants are used in lab rattata to prevent unwanted evolution. for the vast majority of pokemon people are keeping as pets, they need a much bigger piece of everstone than can be placed subdermally.
Timeskipped Sidon, the hydro himbo 🌊
I did some research for Timeskip 2 as I was unsure if he'd be gigantic like King Dorephan (kind of like how some animals get huge when they become alpha/queen). In the end, there's no definite answer so my interpretation is that Sidon gets larger as a shark, but not exponentially so as a whale like Dorephan. If I'm wrong, oh well I tried. 😅

Canon-Accurate Full Pokémon Cladogram
Yep! It took months of work (and months of waiting for Champions to give me the new menu sprites for the Mega Evolutions. And then it didn’t even do that.) I know others have done this before, but every single take I found had something I felt was disproved by canon or flat-out didn’t make sense, so I’ve been working on my own take!
Cyndaquil was my first starter Pokémon, many moons ago on Pokémon Crystal and will forever hold a special place in my heart. So of course I brought it to Orcaibh with me :)
So say hello to Orcaibh Cyndaquil aka Stormyquil
lured by the gartic phone siren song once again. apple.
How does Evolution method work in wild Pokemon that Evolve by only trading?
Do you want me to explain it in one sentence or go down a list? Bcuz for it to make sense, I have to go down a list. Imma try though.
For trade evolution to work, you have to use the trading machine, which exposes a pokemon to a type of energy that allows them to evolve. It can be difficult to find this type of energy in the wild, but it can happen. But yeah, I'm bored and Joker the Orbeetle has been showing me bug documentations for 4 hours straight. Might as well go down the list.
