Region: A region of eternal night as scientists created plants that could grow in moonlight, though there is some places that try to create artificial lights for the plants that couldn't grow in the moonlight. The moon still changing to different fullness percents with times there is no moon visible.
Region name: Lunar region.
Type: Bug Poison.
Ability: Larvesta: Compound eyes. Volcarona: Shield dust.
Description:
These pokemon are usually hidden in forests where dark shadows are cast. They love the darkness where they can hide and watch where they feel safe. These pokemon doesn't backdown from enemies very easily often times they will try to intimidate or scare an enemy away, glowing their eyes or glowing the skull on its head as the first attempt to scare an enemy away before trying to fight the enemy, however when these pokemon deem that the threat level is too high they will release a cloud of poisonous dust before fleeing; the fur and wings of these pokemon are able to create this poisonous dust. This poisonous dust causes at first a stunned dizzying type effect that reduces after thirty minutes, for the next twenty four hours those affected often feel like their heads are in the clouds, easy nausea and dizziness, as well slow response times. While the poisonous dust is not lethal on its own it is still deemed poisonous due to the effects caused by coming into any sort of contact with it. These pokemon have helped inspire some horror movies with their ways of scaring off an enemy by glowing their eyes or skull.
Larvesta will crawl along the ground of the forests it resides in though will climb trees to reach its main food source of tree sap. While it can lick the sap off with it's tongue it prefers a more effective method of biting the tree with the two sharp fangs, that are the only teeth it has in it's hidden mouth, injecting a poison that makes the trees drip sap from the small holes created where this pokemon sucks out the sap. While very rare if another living being such as a human is injected with the poison it uses on trees it usually will cause food poisoning like symptoms for a day or two. It's feet are sensitive enough that it can tell if something is approaching it through the vibrations made on the ground. It has been noticed to have a liking to move to a slightly high branch to watch any who are passing by; Theorized that this way it can assess a possible threat in a spot away from where it can get stepped on. It is well known for behaving unfriendly even towards a friend or trainer usually like it doesn't care, but if that person or pokemon is in danger this pokemon will leap in to defend the one it secretly cares for. It will ensure that the one it cares for is not hurt before acting like it doesn't care, if there is an injury or anything wrong then this pokemon will seek help. It normally moves at the speed of a human walking though is known to move very quickly when helping one it cares for.
Volcarona are rare to see in the wild as usually there is one wild one for every ten of its previous evolution. This pokemon can flap its wings almost silently or if it wants to it can flap them harder to make a noise like large feathered wings flapping. It is able to fold its wings to glide between trees if needed even though it prefers to remain on paths where it can fit without doing so. It is able to easily pick out its previous evolution and will look out for danger before going on its way. It mainly flies though sometimes rests by gripping on to the leaves of a tree usually where there is a cluster of leaves on the tree. Those same leaves are its favorite food to eat which it usually enjoys when resting. It wanders the forests often being mistaken for being on patrol when it just wanders aimlessly. It's wings are coated in a fine dust like substance that can only come off when touched, usually by something trying to attack it though humans have been affected when trying to touch its wings as its wings are and do look soft, which causes anything it comes into contact with to become numb for two minutes. Luckily for those it cares about this pokemon will create a layer of fine dust on top to prevent the numbness if one it cares for touches it's wings. It is a very quiet pokemon who normally sports a calm look making it notoriously hard to read in emotions.
Lore:
Larvesta used to be believed to just be fake tales from exhausted travelers who saw its glowing eyes in the dark forests. Until one traveler was upset enough to bring one back to prove that they were telling the truth. There is even an old story about a group of them who saved an old lady. An old lady made friends with a group of these wild pokemon by feeding and hanging out with them, since she lived in a forest cottage by herself, until one day she fell unable to get back up. So the group of pokemon raced all together to get her help saving her life. Despite this being a very well known old tale no one actually knows if such a thing happened or if it is just a made up story. It is sometimes blamed for how some teens style their hair when trying to seem like they don't care about life or the world. However there has never been any proof that it it is the inspiration behind the hair style.
Volcarona was once believed to be a fantasy creature created by an artist until the first previous evolution caught evolved. It quickly gained fake tales about how it took its skull from a human. The methods and reasons for it to have been said to do this varied greatly, from taking the skulls of the dead to cover its face to even it taking the skulls of evil people to intimidate others with more with the evil energy, which are believed were used to either scare children into behaving or used by children to scare each other for fun. While some tales shared between children for fun have continued to stick around over the years, other stories have only become known to exist in old books. People wondered why it wandered the forest so some popular theories was that it stalked the forest sent there to scare off threats to protect the pokemon living there.

Lunar region is a region that I have thought about making. I will be making more Pokémon and variants for this region.
