For me, the friends to lovers trope has always been the most exciting and heart fluttering. Polin’s first kiss scene makes my heart race no matter how many times I’ve watched it. I love every single second. - I just wish it had been longer.- But these particular moments are so beautiful and heart melting… I can’t even put it into words. The fact that this kiss happens while they’re still friends makes it even more enchanting.

The polin ep 2 kiss was literally a magical moment of the story, waking Colin up to his feelings for the first time. He's always cared about her and respected her, but the kiss was about him seeing their relationship in a romantic light. Colin didn't need to kiss her to know what a gem she was or tell her that she was special, that's not really a part of the friends-to-lovers trope.

Win her over how? She liked him from the day they met because she thought he was kind, funny, and cute. If you're talking about after their fight, he gave a full honest apology and offered to help her?!

Penelope did not need to be "won over" just because Colin didn't fall in love with her when he was 10. Or that he fell in love with her at 22. Him not recognizing romantic feelings earlier was not a crime or wrongdoing he committed against her, it was just a layer of their relationship that he hadn't explored. Even if it somehow was, he apologized for that too.

Colin also went through parts of their relationship feeling pain at being unworthy of her and believed even through part of their engagement that she may have been caught up in the moment. Did you want Penelope to grovel for that too?

Also, miss me with "all the other couples", Right before Kanthony's first kiss, Kate talks about feeling like a failure because they're literally AT HIS WEDDING TO HER SISTER. Sophie's first kiss with Benedict was done with the intention of her never seeing him again because they were literally strangers.
