44. any writing advice you want to share?
The thing I've noticed is that people are pretty forgiving when they're reading your writing, in my experience. There's a continuity error in à la carte that I haven't fixed because I'm slightly curious if anyone's ever going to bring it up to me. But they might not, either because they literally haven't noticed (valid) or they're being polite (also valid).
So to anyone who is afraid of writing/posting, as I was at first: write whatever you want! Even if it's weird or niche or you worry your grammar isn't perfect. And if anyone says anything mean, I will hit them with a baseball bat.
71. how do you balance writing and life? do you ever feel overwhelmed by the amount of writing you have to do?
The worst part is I do non fic writing too! I try my hand at writing once a day and if it feels wrong I go do something else, and that seems to work for me. I imagine I'll be even slower to update once the weather improves.
But I am constantly overwhelmed by how much writing I have to do. I feel guilty about the active WIPs especially. What if I never finish them? What if I wait too long and I forget where I was going with a story? What if people stop reading because it's been a while between updates?
I try to remind myself that this is just a hobby and that there really aren't any consequences for being slow. It still makes me anxious!
