Related to the idea of weird simple jingles to help people learn language (that I wrote about here), my Japanese colleague sent this to me today. It's a video to help you learn polite and proper greetings (aisatsu/あいさつ). She says everyone in Japan is talking about it, and, judging by this weird parody (if you don't speak, it's basically all the TV comedians re-dubbing the video with jokes and impolite phrases), people are poking a lot of fun at it.
UPDATE: Just got an explanation of why everyone's talking about it:
Because of the tragedy in my country, TV stations are not airing certain commercials and airing a lot of AC's commercials. (AC = Advertising Council http://www.ad-c.or.jp/eng/).. So if you read Japanese tweets, everybody is saying ポポポポーン! (popopopon)
