How to you get an animal to stop harassing you? Teach her that doing an acceptable behavior works to get her what she wants. At this stage of training we are trying to sneak in small intervals of time between reinforcers to build duration. A walk is a lot more fun whether you are a dog or a porcupine if there is a way to communicate where you want the animal to go. Even though Bam Bam has only been in this space a few times, she’s easily redirected to the target that she knows earns her favorite goodies (nuts.)
