Pink had been spending days exploring this wonderful colony. The sun had gone down and come up, but Pink did not grow weary. It wasn’t until the third night that it seemed Pink’s body was catching onto the circadian rhythm.
She yawned loudly, but paid the strange geological reaction no mind as she stepped into another shop. Hours later, Pink walked out, carrying a popcorn and trying to take a photo of it with her phone.
She poured some of the popcorn out onto the sidewalk and giggled when birds flocked down to peck at it. Pink yawned again and gasped.
The popcorn slipped from her hands and fell to the ground, as did her phone. Pink stared, eyes wide and mouth agape.
“Pearl!” Pink ran over and scooped up the other gem, holding her thin body close and swaying back and forth. “Oh, Pearl! I’ve missed you so much! Isn’t this place amazing!?”
Pink then dropped her before crouching down eye level to face her, placing her hands on the other gem’s shoulders. “I’ve been looking at the grass and soil…this place isn’t Earth at all! It’s a colony of creatures completely free! No gems have corrupted it…isn’t that lovely!?”
