Dalil's leg arrived a little fucked up, so I did some surgery on her today to get it into a more normal position. Surgery process under the cut for those that don't wish to see plush 'gore'- there's nothing graphic though even as far as plushies, no exposed stuffing or anything. Be safe regardless!
here's what i was starting with. In order to make the plush lay more flatly on it's 'flank', the designers just attached the rightmost leg to the inside of the leftmost leg. It leaves the white of the belly awkwardly poking out when you look at the donkey from the back, really odd! >.<
A better view of how odd this pattern is. Her leg is coming out of her belly in the middle!!!
here's the barely visible seam in between the two legs that i opened up to detach the right leg from the body. there should be white from the belly between these two, but there isnt! Don't worry, we'll fix it.
Right leg removed successfully! In a cute happenstance, the extra fabric on the belly has led to her having quite a chubby appearance. I ended up deciding I liked this so I kept it. After this it was just a matter of opening a hole between the right flank and the belly fur and attaching the leg there.
Et voilà! Her legs are now normal. Her having less excess thigh fabric than on the other side does lead to it sticking out a little, but that's quite alright with me. I mostly just wanted it to not look so jarringly naked on that side.
