everyone consider more possessions that caused by something that's not sentient or sapient btw. love sentient or sapient possessors of course. but also, characters being influenced by something inanimate that isn't even alive. something that has no intentions, just effects. it is a very interesting kind of powerful i think.

you know what i mean. cursed sword that makes the wielder bloodthirsty and cruel. it doesn't have a demon in it or anything that controls the wielder. it doesn't talk to them and convince them. it just does that.

oh also possession trope i feel should be considered more often. musical instruments that can do possession . siren song but it's from an instrument instead of a voice. magic flute that can mind control people . or a lute would be great for that as well i think . would be cool

characters who are very calculating and meticulous getting possessed are very fun to me . when there is a liability in your plan you remove it . when something or someone becomes compromised then you remove it . But What Do You Do When You Yourself Are Compromised? What Do You Do When You Become The Wrench In Your Plan? let's put them through that POSSESSIONSTYLE and see how they deal with it

of course i am abmormal about possession and characters being controlled or influenced in a literal sense

But never forget i'm ALSO abnormal about everything else that involves identity/separated aspects of the self/personas/facades/retreating into or dropping facades whether intentional or accidental .

And also interference with autonomy/agency/volition/will/memory .

They're all friends . They're all holding hands and frolicking in a field and I'm giggling and kicking my feet about all of them.

this is so fun it's like if a rubik's cube and a slide puzzle had a beautiful baby

as far as i can tell it's not a very common puzzle and doesn't really have a name. what seldom mentions of it do exist call it a 16 puzzle since it's a slightly modified version of the 15 puzzle. this is beautiful and excellent to me. it's like a rare variant.

having a possession fixation is really funny because i've decided to stop trying to sound normal and start saying the most absurd shit ever. and yet even so. I'm Fucking Right

now that i think about it, i am noticing a pattern with characters i've assigned Body Control before; they usually always have a weapon that is sort of long/large, has some range, held in the hands…usually used to attack with swinging/hitting/thrusting motions—a pickaxe, a bat, a lance, a harpoon, etc. . now that i think about it, that's probably because i find it cooler to pair body control with weapons that are hands-on like that, and almost "lumbering" in that they take a little bit of time to wind up attacks for and some force to move around, because then you get more time for everyone to react (both the person being controlled and the people they are presumably being made to attack), more interesting and dramatic. they're weapons where you can place some emphasis on the Physical Effort And Movement required to attack. they are very Bodily weapons. so it's interesting to pair them with body control.

Now you see making this realization has made me think about the idea of instead pairing body control with a weapon that is the opposite of all of that which i've never considered before somehow which i find really fucking funny:

what do you think about a specific aspect of a character overpowering a possession even when the character's personality as a whole doesn't? such as the entity possessing them being unable to do a specific thing that the character being possessed would absolutely never do to the point where the body itself is taking a stand, or whatever's possessing them having a very strong urge to do a specific action that was important for the character being possessed (such as a quest or drinking tea)?

I LOVE WHEN DIS HAPPENS IT'S SO FUN go my fucked up mutual influence . i enjoy it greatly when an aspect of a person's is so strong that it cannot be overcome even if the rest of them is gone whether played seriously or comedically it's so fun . and also fun to see the possessor reacting like "what the fuck
