uhhh... medical rant
Having chronic pain with barely any (visual) physical symptoms that get mistaken for other problems (like GERD and tendons swelling and muscles aching all the time) fucking sucks (especially as an AFAB individual) because what do you mean it's just hormones? What do you mean I need to work out more? I can't work out when I get so exhausted and out of breath after 2 minutes that I get light headed. I come to you, the doctor, to get this shit figured out, not for you to tell me to try this thing I've already tried and hasn't worked. I already tried to get checked for CFS but they claimed it was my HRT. For symptoms that started before I started HRT. Hopefully going in to get tested for fibromyalgia and other similar conditions soon because it's rediculous that it's pushed off because I'm like, not screaming and crying from pain I guess??? It's rough. I'm not even trying to self-diagnose either, I just know SOMETHING is wrong and the closest thing I've found to it is fibromyalgia (it's like... 99% of the symptoms match, it's a little scary) so I'm trying to get checked for that and similar conditions. I just want to know what's wrong with me. Why can't I walk down to the corner without almost collapsing in pain? Why can't I get around my house without getting exhausted? This isn't normal, and the fact I had to take 17 years to realise that is asinine.
