some general notes abt the au (or at least how i’m interpreting it!!) there are a couple things i still need to think abt (like the dime) but heres what i got
scrooge is well aware what is going on, but is unable to do anything about it. magica gives him air sometimes to gloat but otherwise he’s not gonna be himself for 9 out of 10 threads because she certainly won’t give him that. any free second is dangerous with this miser! if she does it’s most certainly when he can’t fend for himself or get help.
he did try fighting her off initially (like fought tooth and nail; his family is in DANGER) but magica sapped so much vitality from him that he eventually couldn’t do that anymore.
magica’s plan was gradual! scrooge’s change to being so mean spirited was slow so as not to arouse suspicion & make his family believe it really was him saying all those awful things. it’s just that selfish, arrogant scrooge mcduck, you guys.
she pokes at the entire family’s negative traits & tries to cause infighting. the kids? donald? beakley? fenton, gyro? let’s see them fight. that’d be funny.
scrooge ‘turns’ from his usual self to cold, distant and malicious to everyone he ever cared about. she tends to avoid people who think scrooge is acting off if she can’t convince them. or you know bewitch them.
she’s trying to drive his whole family away from him and leave him with nothing. by the time she’s done he might not even be able to bounce back or adventure ever again.
no serious he’s going to be near lifeless after all this.
after a couple weeks scrooge gets noticeably tired under the eyes. magica doesn’t express this though.
magica has access to scrooge’s memories. anything he knows, she knows.
any tiny little annoyances he has? anything that mildly bothers him? she intensifies them bc they’re more believable than any lies she can come up with. sometimes things said are based on scrooge’s actual feelings that he bites down. sometimes it’s just magica being needlessly cruel.
magica’s motive for all this is the loss of her brother. she lost her family, so scrooge is going to lose his. but hey, could be worse, right? they could be dead.
magica possessing him is like cold burning. yikes.
general events take place after the other bin of scrooge mcduck! magica got lena to force the amulet on him at webby’s sleepover. that’s kept under his coat so as not to stirr suspicion.
scrooge speaks normally & looks normal to other people, but he’s a monster to himself.
