Under the cut is a tutorial on how to make a header gif, like the one above, as requested by anonymous. You'll need Photoshop to do this (I used Photoshop CS6), but I personally think it's easy enough to be completed by beginners.Ā Please like or reblog if you found this useful!
The next thing I did was open up my gif.Ā
I clicked this little buttonĀ
Ā and then clickedĀ Select All FramesĀ and thenĀ Copy Frames. Then I went into the document I had just made and pasted them. When the little dialogue box came up, I hitĀ Paste Over Selection.
So, then I positioned my gif where I wanted it to be (you have to have all layers selected for this to work - you can do this by pressingĀ shiftĀ and clicking the first and then last layers).
Making sure that all layers are above the brush stroke, right click and then pressĀ Create Clipping Mask. This will put the gif inside of the brush stroke.
I then put my text where I wanted it to be, putting a stroke and a drop shadow. I used Trash Hand in 72pt font, then used a 1px stroke and a drop shadow with these settings:
Now you're done! You'll want to go intoĀ FileĀ and thenĀ Save for Web. Make sure your looping option is set toĀ Forever, and then save!
