So this is the part where I’m supposed to be smooth, right? Candles, feelings, maybe a tasteful font. Don’t get your hopes up. I don’t really do graceful. But I do honest, and that’s rarer than it should be, so here it goes.

Look, my life’s a mess. Always has been. The world keeps screaming, everything’s on fire, and people keep pushing until something snaps. Most days, I’m just trying to get through without losing the last shred of myself. And somehow—somehow—you ended up being the calm in the middle of all that noise. Don’t ask me how. I don’t understand it either.

When I’m with you, it’s like the volume drops. The paranoia eases off. The itch in my brain shuts up for a minute. You don’t look at me like I’m a problem to be solved or a warning label to avoid. You look at me like I’m… me. And you stay anyway. That counts for more than you know.

I’m not good at promises. I can’t swear things will be normal or safe or sane. But I can say this: if the world’s going to keep being ugly, I’d rather face it with you at my side. You ground me. You remind me there’s still something worth protecting, something worth coming home to.

So yeah. This is me, doing the scary thing. Saying I care. Saying I want you. Saying that in a life full of chaos, you’re the one thing that actually makes sense.

Now don’t make a big deal out of it, okay? …But don’t ignore it either.
