How do you deal with "post-show depression"? After all the props have been put away, the set has been striked, and the actors have all gone home? And perhaps the most exciting yet terrifying: free time.
Hi Anon,
I find the best thing to do with post-show depression is getting involved in something else! I usually spend at least one day catching up on sleep and a day catching up on my social life. Try a new hobby! Learn a new instrument, draw, paint, write short stories or hang out with your cast/crew members!
Please remember to take care of yourself! What ever self care look like for you! Whether its taking a long bath, reading a book, going for a run take care of yourself.
If things go beyond a case of the post-show blues, please talk to a mental health professional about it. You are cared for, you are loved and another show will be along shortly! :)
