august finch is a classical pianist and winslow’s best (and probably only) friend from before The Horrors. they're also (friendly) rivals! between the two of them, finch is the more business-oriented and pessimistic one who tries to keep an eye out for his pal while also being pretty oblivious to how the world actually works. finch is a pretty well-achieved performer with a reputation and everything and winslow thinks that's just the coolest thing ever and follows finch around everywhere so they can both talk about music all the time. finch is generally pretty closed-off to most people but of course winslow is the exception. they're just a couple of clueless nerds that really only have each other until The Horrors

this is a really bad intro to finch and this whole Thing but there is like a whole iceberg of lore between these two. they occupy so many of my thoughts. i'll do a proper post about finch eventually but for now i just want you to perceive him. go my finchlow
