My new @mantraband just came! It was an Easter gift to myself. It’s a #selfcare thing. The mantra here is a thing I find it difficult to believe, not because my life doesn’t give me enough reasons to believe it, but, in fact, the exact opposite. One of the first times I saw this sentiment I realized my initial reaction was to laugh it off as nonsense. I couldn’t fully understand why at first. Then I realized it was because I was blessed with an incredible childhood, that was cut a bit short when my dad died. I lived gratefully from that day forward, but what I didn’t know at the time, is that as I did so, I also hung on to the belief that the best I could hope for had already passed. That’s really no way to live. So I have a new job now. Using the power of words I am going to undo some deep dark thoughts in this ole noggin of mine.
