Mike stared at the building across the street, wide eyed bright in emotion as he read the name. It was not the first time he wandered somewhere that was not his mortal world. But it was the first time he had such luck. The Dinner... It might not be the same one from his childhood, but at the same time...
He could see the memories flash in his mind. The duo of golden animatronics. His parents taking him there often. But it was blurry too, as he had been very young at that time. They felt more like dreams, very pleasant ones.
So, was it any surprise Mike crossed the street to enter the Dinner?
However, even in his little cloud of happiness, he knew very well he would have to be very careful. Pretending he had been there as a child would only work if the place had been around long enough. It might be safer to act as if it was the first time he entered the place, or that he had not come often. He would have a hard time not reacting in any way though, so maybe he should also pretend he heard about the place?
His thoughts stopped as he spotted the golden duo after entering. Mike watched them, a smiling forming. It felt so good, to see them so new. He had worked on fixing his own, as well as the others, but this...
The young man felt some nostalgia and sadness though, for a second waiting for his mother or father to call him. It had been so long since he had allowed himself to get caught up with such fantasy. Mike shook his head, instead looking around as he wondered where he would sit.
Maybe he stayed standing in place for too long because he realized someone had approached. Mike gave a friendly smile, now really tempted to start a conversation. But funnily enough, he felt shy right now. Probably because of feeling younger all over again.
