Practice Tip

There are two reasons to make a mistake: 

1) You didn’t know what to do 2) You weren’t paying attention. 

If you make a mistake for the first reason, talk to your instructor for help or even someone in your section. If you’re making the second, focus. Watch the drum major; if you don’t have one, pick a spot and stare it down. Ignore everything else. It’s a skill, but a very important and useful one.
