April Fool's Day Blues...
So today is one of the more interesting Holiday's: April Fool's Day. I must say, I've had some great ideas for tricks that I wanted to play on some people. Well, mainly my parents.
The one I want to play the most? Call my mom and tell her my little brother got a girl pregnant (my parents, since I'm first born and a girl, there's always the worry that I will become pregnant, or some other horrible thing that happens to young women today in American society. Since very few worry about the boys in the family - you know, double standards - it would be a complete slap to the face. I would find it hilarious to watch their reactions). BUT I won't be that cruel of a daughter. Yet. Maybe next year or when I'm near 20 (since my family has a history of getting pregnant at the age of 20).
ANYWHORE. ANYWAYS. Monday's are normally my most stressful days but at the same time they are the days I get the most things done. Guess they go hand in hand for me, but whatever. 2 of my 4 professors today decided to schedule exams. I was hoping that I could walk in and they would yell "APRIL FOOL'S! The test is tomorrow!" but the moment I got into the classroom, yeah. It wasn't a joke. I feel bad for anyone who thought that maybe, just maybe, it was a joke and didn't study. And thank Gods I wasn't one of those people!
I wonder if my roommate had any jokes played on her by her friends today? I hear China is really getting behind the jokes nowadays and since her family is from Beijing, I like to think they would call her up (though there is a 12 hour difference) and tell her a joke. I must say, I love it when her family calls her at night and they sit and speak Chinese back-and-forth. Sure, I can't understand a word she's saying, but I find it interesting to hear different languages being spoken around me).
