personally i believe that authors would love to see that people 'ship' non-canon ships because it shows the fans dedication and creativity to their books and films and show how involved and engaged they are with their characters and plots. I think to them it would be an honour instead of being something for fans to be ashamed of. Even Jkrowling said she thought about harmony sometimes but that it wouldnt happen.You can have your own thoughts etc and authors/actors find them funny and interesting
