Finally found an actual assembly diagram for my airplane! Well, the 1 pilot 2 cylinder version. Mine's a 2 person tandem control, 4 cylinder 1960s VW. But it'll do 😆
Most of the fun of restoring/building a decently obscure kit plane designed by old guys who are either dead or like to ghost messages is playing detective to find all the missing instructions. Luckily AC. 43.13 exists for this exact reason, but actual instructions would be much nicer 😆

Borrowing a Carbon Cub stock jpeg for a airplane color scheme class project that's giving me some good ideas for my Ultra Pup.
I found the perfect light lavender paint swatch at the hardware store as the top coat, which I'd like to add some subtle sparkle to if I can find a way to make it work with a cheap Harbour Freight spray gun.
The iconic Piper Cub lightning bolt, rims, registration, wing/tail feather struts will all be a pearlescent white lightly dusted with a lace stenciled rose gold. Maybe same with with the nosecone and the top of the engine cowl.
The belly of the plane, under wings, and landing gear will have a super subtle shadowed lace.
The only goal with this; to have the cutest little airplane. The airplane already has an adorable design and is called a Puppy, so why not give it a paint scheme that enhances it all 😌
