Brian Fuller says all of his shows are in the same verse. There is a crazy woman named Georgia in Hannibal who thinks she's dead. Also, I feel like a lot of the plot would have been resolved if they'd called in Ned.
(Oh of course, thank you, Tumblr, for alerting me to the fact that I have messages 10 FLIPPING DAYS LATER. SO KIND OF YOU. HOW THOUGHTFUL. THANKS A TON.)
I definitely had a "heeyyyyyyyy I see what you did there!" moment with Georgia. Also the girl they rescued in the mushroom episode, Gretchen Speck(-Horowitz, dropped the hyphen, kept the ring) was a direct pull-over from Wonderfalls. That's one of my favorite things about Fuller and his shows. We have one girl who is awkwardly helping people with the cryptic advice of a plastic lion, to varying degrees of success; another girl who dies via toilet seat and becomes a reaper; a man who bakes pies and wakes the dead to solve murders while being cute with his recently "alive again" (not undead, no one wants to be un-anything) sweetheart; aaaand a serial killing cannibal and a man with a serious empathy disorder who needs a hug and a blanket and some doggy snuggles. All in the same universe, all basically in the same country. Together. It's the most beautiful thing, and part of why I think they need to bring Lee Pace into Hannibal for something. Preferably involving pies with no human bits.
..... Oh no, I imagined what would happen if Ned tried eating any of Hannibal's food. (I mean, we know he's a vegetarian, but maybe he just wanted to try the pie and... oh god no no no no no no no no n on ono no no no)
No but what if Pushing Daisies and Dead Like Me are actually in the same verse, and Ned just keeps cockblocking the reapers? Like, "Hey so here's your-DAMMIT NED! NOT AGAIN-oh okay they're dead again, great."
OKAY BUT YOU KNOW NED WAS ACTUALLY SUPPOSED TO BE A CHARACTER IN DEAD LIKE ME AT ONE POINT RIGHT LIKE PUSHING DAISIES WAS ACTUALLY A REJECTED PLOTLINE/PSEUDO-SPINOFF FOR DLM KSJHDSKJDHKSJ That fact always really excites me for some reason. But yeah I’m fully in support of this. It would be hilarious. Can you imagine George finally being like, “I have had enough of this shit,” and going to the Pie Hole to give this dude a piece of her mind (badum tsh) and getting waylaid by incredible pie, people who talk too fast to get a normal word in edgewise, and the fact that Ned is actually a giant anxious human puppy who needs a hug or five million.
Of course, then the question arises: what would happen to George if Ned touched her? Like… what would happen if Ned touched a reaper?
Aaaand now this is gonna drive me nuts.
I read it. Just so you know that someone did >.>
Aw, thanks. :)
