Product Review: Sigma Precision Brush Set and Eyeshadows
Forget about foundation in this hot weather. Lately all I've been wearing is a bit of concealer to even out my skin tone and to erase my dark circles. I've had good experiences with Sigma brushes in the past so I decided to order their Precision Brush Set. Their synthetic fibers are amazingly soft and great for blending for an airbrushed finish. I have Sigma's Synthetic F80 Flat Top Kabuki brush and love it, so I trust the Precision Set will perform just as well.
(Left to Right) P86 Tapered, P80 Flat, P84 Angled, P82 Round
The bristles are all very soft and blend like a dream. I particularly like how they are small enough to get into the nooks and crannies of our face like around the nose and corners of the eyes.
One of the things I love about Sigma is how they always attach a pleasant little surprise with your package. This time it was a sample size of their (somewhat) new eye shadows. One from each palette: Dare, Bare, and Hare.
Cute packaging! Here are the swatches of the three colors
Reveal: A metallic brownish-red shadow. It's the most soft and pigmented of the three. This color would be great blended with taupes and deep browns to create a sultry smokey eye.
Act: A shimmery taupe. Quite frosty when you look at it up close. It's rather sheer compared to Reveal. Took a few swipes to build up the color
Oversee: I had hoped this would be a pigmented turquoise but it ended up being the most disappointing. The color barely picked up even after countless swipes. I don't know what I'd use this shadow for because of its poor color payoff.
