To Change the Course (Pre MMZ)
The abyss known as cyberspace housed many mysteries, secrets, and pieces of data that no one, not even he would ever be able to sift through. Yet, even if X had been interested in doing so, his efforts would have been distracted at best.
A great burden weighed on his mind. Neo Arcadia, the city he had helped form, and he had defended for many, many years.
But, even that wasn't the largest issue plaguing the elf. No... It was who was now in charge of Neo Arcadia. His... Imitation.
'Copy X' had been built in his likeness, to calm the people that desperately clung to the 'legendary' hero's image even after he'd faded. Perhaps, in a sense the presence of a protector such as himself had been needed, but X could not approve of the rumblings that had emerged from Neo Arcadia.
Just what was he doing?
Of course, as a simple cyber elf, he couldn't just walk up to him and go 'Tell me what you're thinking.' Even if the copy recognized him, the sad fact was that it would have been a (somewhat) simple task to capture the elf.
...And X wasn't willing to leave this world in the hands of someone that was reputed to be executing reploids left and right.
Not to mention... Zero hadn't woken yet. Until then... X had to endure.
But, even so, he would have been remiss to ignore this problem, when potentially, all it would take was simple words to change the course of his doppelganger.
Appearing near the throne room, X slipped into Neo Arcadia's network, and a beep announced to his copy that he had a call.
X could only hope that his actions here would be enough...
