A/N: Bear with me people. I’ve had this idea for a really long time and kinda wanted to get it out there.
Brief Summary: MetaHuman!PrettyMuch, Zion Kuwonu and Kiana Miller are marked soulmates but once Austin Porter (who receives premonitions) has a vision about an evil celestial being that wants to take over Planet Earth by opening it’s realm and unleashing darkness; Kiana is the only one that can stop it from happening. Even if it costs her her life.
They raced to the center of New York city, their precise destination already designated: the Empire state building. Streaks of a bright white light could be seen from a mile away as the ache in Zion’s heart only intensed.
“Can’t you go any faster!?” He shouted loudly at Austin.
“Can’t you see I’m trying!?” Austin responded fustratingly , hands gripped on the steering wheel as if it was a life or death situation...and for them it was.
Zion could feel the burning sensation illuminate inside him...the same element that escaped his hands in a an overwhelming situation. He needs to save her. He had to. It was his obligation. A duty some could even say. The reason why they had the mark and were practically linked. The reason why they found eachother when they did and how they did. She was promised his and he hers. He refused to let her fight this battle alone.
“Shit!” Austin yelled out suddenly, the car jerking forward, coming to a full stop and halting Zion’s train of thought. The sight of a dark purple Harley Motorcycle met his eyes as he saw Maggie, her dark brown eyes bored into theirs although the windows were tinted black...he could still feel the intense stare.
Zion sighed out of defeat as they both hopped out of the black SUV, placing a hand ontop of the hood, glancing at Austin then back at Maggie. Brandon appears suddenly at their side, electricity radiating off of his body as he too stared down his girlfriend.
“I can’t let any of you through.” She commenced, gripping her matching helmet under her arm with one knee perched on the seat of her purple transportation.
“This is her battle.” She finished only this time, her eyes directly on Zion’s.
Those words felt like daggers stabbing at his chest repeatedly and rapidly. But before he had the chance to react, a loud crash was heard from the roof top of the tall building. Darkness filled the atmosphere, covering the once blue New York sky with gray sombre clouds. He watched the familiar body levitate off the edge of the building. Their hands stretched out infront of them, a smirk sat upon it’s face as the lightning pierced through the darkness like shiny silver daggers. A small black rip tore through the sky, splitting into to two as blood curling screams and laughters could be heard. This was it. This was what Austin had warned them about. Multiple times at that but … no one listened.
“ She died slowly and painfully.” The voice taunted as the figure smirked down at the small group, dancing around joyfully in their heads fits of laughter following suit. “It was...beautiful.”
Maggie teared up. Brandon and Austin bowed their heads in dissapointment and defeat. Zion dropped to his knees as the fire escaped his hands and penetrated the concrete pavement leaving a black burnt mark, a scream escaping his mouth. He too bowed his head as the feeling of defeat shook his body.
“Guys.” Maggie called out suddenly, pointing to the sky, captivating everyone’s attention. “Look.” And their she was. His beloved. His soul-sister. His bestfriend. The opposite element. A scream escaped her bloody and bruised mouth, her lovely dark brown skin stained with purple-red spots, as she leaped off the ledge of the roof-top, a silver shining sword radiating blue energy in her hands. And before the Celestial being had any time to react once turned around, the sword pierced into it’s black skin, the tip of the sword poking out of it’s back.
“No!” It screeched out, it’s hands coming in contact with the handle of the object as a look of horror appeared on it’s face. A smile of satisfaction appeared on her bruised face as she plunged it deeper. There was a sudden silence before the explosion, somehow a bright black light filling the sky as the Alien cried out and exploded , swallowing all of it’s damage with it. When it was over the silence returned. The blue New York skies returned to their normal state, the clouds filled them gracefully, everything seemed normal again.
“W-where is she?” Zion searched yet no sign of the beaten up damsle “ Austin?”
Brandon zipped up fastly towards the tall building, only a ball of electricity could be seen as he zipped from room to room, floor to floor then the rooftop before finally rejoining the others on the ground.
“Nothing...she’s gone. It’s all gone. Like as if-”
“It never happened.” Austin finished before letting out the breath that he didn’t even realize was holding in. Zion’s mind went fuzzy as he looked back at the blonde boy.
“What are you trying to say ? Where is she?” He said, the fuzziness now replaced with anger and his hands heated up simultaneously.
“I’m saying; I didn’t see this. This wasn’t supposed to end like this. But wherever she is...she isn’t coming back.”
