Explore the IB Primary Years Programme at RIS, providing a comprehensive primary school education based on the globally recognized IB curric
we offer the highly regarded Primary Years Programme (PYP) as part of our commitment to providing an academically rigorous and holistic education. The PYP is designed to foster independent learners who are not only academically proficient but also well-rounded global citizens. This curriculum is grounded in the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, which focuses on the development of children from ages 3 to 12, nurturing their social, physical, emotional, cultural, and academic growth. The Primary Years Programme at KCC emphasizes inquiry-based learning, where students are encouraged to explore and discover through active engagement with their surroundings. This approach helps children develop a lifelong love of learning while strengthening their critical thinking skills. We start offering the PYP from the age of 3, ensuring that students receive a strong foundation from the very beginning of their educational journey. In addition to academic growth, the PYP at Raha International School KCC incorporates a focus on language development, including the introduction of Arabic from the Early Years. While Arabic, Islamic, and Social Studies are not mandatory in the youngest grades, we begin offering Arabic classes early to support both native and non-native speakers. In Early Years 2, native speakers have three Arabic classes weekly, while non-native speakers have one class each week. Raha International School Khalifa City Campus is proud to offer the Primary Years Programme, providing a well-rounded education that prepares students for the challenges of the future while fostering a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and global perspectives.
