I don’t remember your names, but I remember your stories. And I’m so grateful for them. They have been little rays of sunshine when walking through life’s storms. Heart ache? Those angsty one shots understood. Failed an exam in college? There you were with a fluffy romance to make me feel better. You’ve brought me back to Panem, Bad Wolf Bay and Hogwarts more times than I can count and I loved it, every moment, every chapter.

So thank you. Thank you for sharing a little bit of you with me. Thank you for helping me become a better writer myself. You are the internet friends who get me and again, though your names slip my mind on occasion, every time I get an email you’ve updated, or if I see you’ve left a review of your own, know that my heart gives a little cheer because you get it, and you get me.

Burning It Down Teaser

Hey everyone! I’ve had this fic planned for a while, because I’d always wondered what Prim and Rue would be like if they were both in the arena, and especially if they were in the case of Katniss and Rue, but changed. So here’s the first offical teaser for Burning It Down, A Hunger Games Fanfiction. 

In retrospect, Prim probably should’ve seen it coming. Getting picked on her 18th birthday, the year right before she could’ve been safe…this reeked of interference. Especially with Katniss, the girl who’d made the ultimate sacrifice, taking a leap of death to save Peeta. Who’d set the Capitol aflame, and not in the good way. More in the way of almost setting off a rebellion flame. 

After Kat had been sent off to die, Prim had had to toughen up. She learned to fight, to shoot, to climb. She knew that this would happen, mostly because the Capitol had a way of getting revenge, almost no matter what. But she had grown more confident that the Capitol wouldn’t come for her, until now. Her 18th fucking birthday. She had almost made it. Now, as she looked out across the crowd, no one was there. No one to shout “I volunteer as tribute!” to save her, only to have all her efforts screwed over by one little reaping. 

Prim swallowed. She kept her back straight and her face composed. She had to look strong enough to win. She had to. 

It was only on the train that she broke down crying, her heart broken and hopes shattered.

Hiiiiii. What are your favorite non-magic au???

Basically everything and anything by provocative-envy! Bite Marks (Dramione), Skinny Dipping (Hermione x Cormac), Prime Cut (Hermione x Scabior) and How About No (Tomione) are some of my favourite one shots of theirs, but all are equally fantastic. Check out @provocative-envy for drabbles/etc not posted to AO3!

For longer fics, Doppelgangland (Dramione) by damnedscribblingwoman is, despite being not quite fully Muggle, so totally fantastic and so is Nautical Paramour’s Over the Hills and Far Away (Hermione x Fenrir). Late Lunch (still a WIP) and Keys, both by Primrue are super sweet, fluffy Muggle Fremiones that I would also totally recommend.

The Eagle’s Nest by HeartOfAspen (Hermione x Draco Malfoy)

AU, The Golden Trio's eighth year at Hogwarts is thrown into upheaval when Headmistress McGonagall orders a re-sorting of all students to promote inter-house unity. Lo and behold, the Hat sends both Hermione and Draco to Ravenclaw (without Harry and Ron)! How will she cope? Dramione is always the answer. Story includes alchemy, post-War issues, and lemony goodness (eventually).

The Minister’s Secret by Canimal (Hermione x Kingsley Shacklebolt)

The love of the Minister's life disappeared just before the end of the First Wizarding War. When he finds her again, he can hardly trust his sanity. His first action as the new Minister for Magic is to break at least a dozen international laws to bring her home. Hermione soon finds herself in the early 70s surrounded by future followers of the Dark Lord. **Causal Loop Time Travel**
