Princess Caroline-Mathilde Louise Dagmar Christine Maud Augusta Ingeborg Thyra Adelheid of Denmark married Prince Knud of Denmark. Her husband would later become The Hereditary Prince of Denmark when the King of Denmark did not have a male heir, but rather three daughters including the current Queen of Denmark Margrethe. Caroline-Mathilde and her husband never saw the Danish throne when rules were changed to allow women to claim the throne.
